Ginuwine (born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin in October 15, 1970 in Washington, DC) is an African American R&B singer. Sign-language to Epic Records since the mid-1990s, Ginuwine has released a total of platinum-selling albums & singles, becoming one of the virtually all successful R&B artists of his period. Ginuwine attended & graduated from either Forestville High School around Forestville, Maryland and Prince Georges Community College in Largo, Maryland with a paralegal degree, and he shortly afterward broke into the music industry, becoming a a portion of Jodeci member Devante's Swing Mob collective. There, he met songwriter/producer Missy Elliott and producer Timbaland, who became his independent collaborators through the Nineties. Ginuwine's 1st lone, 1996's "Pony" from Ginuwine...A Bachelor, showcased his smooth vocals & Timbaland's innovative production style, & them became the hit-making duo. When his 1999 sophomore album, 100% Ginuwine, Ginuwine & Timbal& grew apart, and producers such as R. Kelly have crafted hits for him since then. Around 2002, Ginuwine was the feature creative person on P. Diddy's number one hit, "I Need a Girl (Part II)". Ginuwine's next album, Back II Da Basic principles, is freed in November 15, 2005 by Epic Records.
